When you prayed that prayer and meant it, something happened in the unseen realm. You were translated. That is the Bible's word — not improved, not reformed. Translated. Moved from one kingdom to another. You are not the same person. Your standing before God changed the moment you opened your mouth. That is not a feeling. It is a fact. Romans 10:9 — thou shalt be saved.
Tell someone. Not to perform it — because confession anchors what God just did. Tell one person who will celebrate with you, or write it down with today's date. This moment deserves a marker. Then get alone with God for even five minutes and say: Thank You. I'm Yours. That is the beginning of a prayer life. You don't need a formula. You need a conversation.
Open the Bible to the Gospel of John, chapter 1. Don't start in Genesis. Start where Jesus introduces Himself. Read slowly — one chapter at a time, not rushing to finish. Ask before you read: Lord, show me something today. He will. The Word is alive — Hebrews 4:12 — and it speaks. Expect it to speak to you specifically, because it will.
Find a local church that preaches Christ — His blood, His resurrection, His lordship. Not a social club. Not a motivational gathering. A place where the Word is opened and the Spirit is welcome. Within hours or days of this decision, a thought will arrive: did that even count? Did anything actually change? That thought is not from God. It is the enemy moving fast to undo what just happened. Your answer is not a feeling — it is the Word. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved — Romans 10:9. That word is declarative. It is not conditional on how you feel. You are saved because He said so. Stand on the Word, not on your emotions. The emotions will follow.
